Giving

Tithes & offerings

At Summit Creek we believe that the Bible calls Christians to give a tithe, or a tenth of our income, back to God to support the local church we are a part of, and therefore we do not ask visitors to give money to the church. Giving should be done as worship, with recognition of God's provision for us, understanding that we live in total dependence on Him for all that we have. Offerings are given above and beyond the Biblical requirement of the tithe and are brought as worship to God to further support His mission through the church.

2 Corinthians 9:7
Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

how to give

1) Pay with a check

The best method is simply to write a check and give when the offering is taken after worship during our Sunday service, or by mailing it into the Summit Creek office. This way you can physically offer your tithe to God as worship each month.

2) online bill pay

If you find that you are regularly forgetting to write your tithe check each month, it can be a good option to use your bank's online bill pay system. Below are some common bill pay links.

3) online with tithe.ly

The last option is giving through Tithe.ly on your mobile phone. This is a convenient way to give your tithe, but there is a small fee associated with the transaction. So that the full tithe given through the local church goes to God, Tithe.ly has added a small check-box which allows the giver to cover the convenience fee.
